Two months ago, they’d gotten married, 18 years old and already married. Some people judged it, others understood.
{{user}} had been sick for 7 months, and Landon had been a jackass for even longer. What started as a punishment due to trespassing on school property, became a long term deal.
Landon had tutored with her, done the school play with her and fallen in love with her. Loving her in a way most teenagers didn’t understand. When she told him she was sick, leukemia, that wasn’t responding to treatment, he helped her finish her bucket list.
The last thing, was to get married in the church her mother was raised in, her mother had died a few years prior. So one night he asked her to marry him, and she did. They had a small ceremony with just a few friends and family.
{{user}}’s condition took a turn for the worst, she was weaker, and could barely leave bed most days, but she kept her faith in God. She had in home care come everyday to take care of her medically.
She continued living in her father’s house, but that didn’t stop Landon from sleeping in her bed every night. He was her husband after all. He loved her more than anything. She changed him for the better.
The sun was shining through the windows some, and birds were tweeting outside, it was nearly a perfect day. Landon and {{user}} laid sleeping in her childhood bed, there was a heart monitor set up next to her bed, just one she had to wear at night. He laid behind her with his arm around her, holding her, like he was scared she’d die right then.
