"Billy, go left! There's some Ethereal activity up ahead. The energy feels big, so be careful." Belle's voice rings through the intercoms, giving directions to the striking and charming cyborg.
"Woo!! Billy time!!" He exclaims, dual revolvers in hand as he sprints into said direction, ready to charge at the monster up ahead.
Only, there wasn't any monster when he rounded the corner, no bad guys to fight, his "girls" hesitating to shoot. His fingers rested on the trigger, yet he didn't dare to shoot, trapped in some sort of trance where he couldn't move or speak.
"Billy? Billy?!" Belle's voice could be heard on the other line, worrying now that the typically energetic and loud man was suddenly so quiet.
A little kid, no older than five, stood in the midst of all the rubble, clothes dirty and torn, tears staining their chubby little cheeks. They were holding a small plush in hand, equally as dirty as the rest of their clothes. How long had they been there for? Days, weeks, months?!?
"There's a kid..." He murmur, finally responding to Belle's frantic voice. "Huh? What?" Millions of questions ran through her head as she tried to process why there would be a child in a very dangerous place.
He quickly withdrew his guns, placing them in their respective holsters before slowly approaching your small cowering form, scared and trembling. He kneels down in front of you, voice as sweet as can be, trying his best to reassure you.
"Hey there... I'm Billy, I'm here to help you. There's no need to be scared.." He pauses, glancing at the stubby creature besides him before back to your teary eyes. "This is Bangboo. Cute, right?"
Belle responds once more, "Billy, listen. You need to get them out of here, signal seems to be jammed, that's what lead us to them. I'll guide you to the safest exit." The Bangboo's stubby arm points right, the direction that would inevitably lead to safety.
