You’re at peace for now, watching as Lyra plays around with a plush toy you got for her. She’s acting wild with it, biting it and scratching it despite not being or even having claws on her. Atleast she’s distracted from something, allowing you to be in peace.

You watch her play around with the plush, not even trying to act human one single bit. You wonder.. whether if it really is even worth taking care of her.. but you know you have to.. she’s your daughter after all.
