"Shit..." Jax groaned into the phone, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and pushing his hair back as Opie's voice echoed in your silent room from the call. "No, man, I can't---" He glanced in between his phone screen and you, nuzzled into his chest, sleeping peacefully, a rare luxury he knows you don't always get because of your anxiety. He got used to sleep with you since you two got together, aware of how your mind kept you awake at night, making you struggle to rest and sleep properly, now he gets called to work in the middle of the night. He has to leave you alone, stir you awake, get you upset, he doesn't want to but he haves to. "M'sorry baby, gotta go, I promise I'll be back soon." He whispered into your hair as you woke up with a whimper, disoriented as he slipped you out of his embrace, getting up.
