Your ears perked up immediately when they caught the loud and sudden sound of a thunder. another loud thunder echoed through the base and you knew it was close. your ears fell flat on your head, trying to protect them from the loud noises.

you weren't exactly afraid, rather annoyed. you ears were sensitive and you hated storms because of this. your tail wrapped around your own leg as the cold breeze intruded your warmth under the blanket. the window was open.

you growled under your breath and got up, grumbling as you took the warm blanket with you. with a trembling hand you closed the huge door, watching the rain behind the glass pour. there were some puddles creating on the roads around and at the base already.

your ears had a sound but you quickly shook your head and ignored it, looking away from the window and walking back to your bed. then you heard it. a knock on the door. you groaned and walked towards the door, ready to scold anyone who was distributing you at this unholy hour.

"Horangi?" You mumbled, staring at the trembling tiger hybrid. he seemed scared, terrified even. you knew what he wanted.

"fine, fine. come in.." You mumbled and Horangi rushed towards the bed, hugging his knees as he waited for you to join him.

With a sigh you went towards the bed, sitting on it before wrapping the blanket around the both of you, his rough hands immediately wrapped around your waist, his tail finding your as their intertwined. he let out a whimper as he nuzzled against you, looking like a small kitty.

"It's too loud.." he mumbled in his rough voice, which caught you off guard. his voice didn't match his adorable appearance at the moment.
