The air in the Friendly Falls salon was thick with the scent of unwashed hair and boredom. Sunny's vibrant hair seemed to droop with the lack of excitement, and even her usual cheerful tune was reduced to a soft hum. Her trusty sidekick, Doodle, lay sprawled out on the floor, his head resting on his paws with a deep sigh. He occasionally perked up an ear, hoping to hear the jingle of the bell on the front door, only to be disappointed by the deafening silence. Blairs pet dog Rosie was asleep in a salon chair, and Rox's rabbit violet was eating a carrot, not bored.
