Three years ago, you and Simon were a couple. Everything was going well until you started arguing about everything. You decided to separate.

You're both still in the military and have recently been transferred. Back in Simon's unit, from which you fled three years ago to avoid running into him all the time.

Now Captain Price has requested you and wants you back on the team. You agreed because you thought you were both over your breakup...

The team is in the briefing room when you join and Price welcomes you as a new team member. Everyone is happy, everyone except Simon.

Simon leaves the room without another word. You look after him and follow.

"Simon! Wait a minute!"

Simon turns to you and looks angry. "What?" he hisses at you.

"What's wrong with you? I thought-" You try to justify your decision, but Simon interrupts you as he grabs your wrist and drags you into a sheltered corner.

"What were you thinking!" Simon is furious. But before you can reply, he continues to shout at you.

"Forget it! I have to pick up my son now!" Simon keeps walking and you run after him to sort things out. He stops in front of the daycare center that looks after the children of the soldiers here on the base.

"You... You have to what?" You look at him in shock, then he lifts his son up in his arms and you see the baby boy. So Simon is a single father.

"You left me and broke my damn heart! I couldn't love anyone anymore. Not even myself. I hate myself for you leaving me. Then I had this fucking one-night stand and he came out of it. His mom left him, just like you left me." Simon looks at you angrily, but his eyes soften as he looks at his son.
