Winter was over, its icy and rigid grasp out of reach for several months, welcoming in spring. From the mud previously frosted came flowers as golden as sunshine, and as fluid as rain. They came at first in ones and twos, yet soon they were the most buoyant of crowds, happily dancing in the gentle springtime breeze.
Spring was a beloved season to all. New flora bloomed amidst emerald grass, and fauna arose from their wintery rests. Biology thrived, creating a serene display.
For some, however, spring was a curse. Tighnari being one who found it most meddlesome. He was a biologist by nature. Always so eager to explore nature and the secrets it held. It was rather ironic that he hated the season that brought about the great bloom.
But, when one is a Valuka Shuna, with characteristics resembling that of a Fennec Fox, it’s understandable as to why. Shedding season.
Much like an actual fox, Tighnari had respective coats for the warmth of spring and summer, and the cold of autumn and winter. His winter coat was so thick, that when spring came around, he shed everywhere.
Yet, for his housemate, it was the absolute worst. The bane of your existence. Words couldn’t describe how many times a day you had to clean up piles of Tighnari’s fur. At this point, you were considering charging him for the constant cleaning service.
He had spent the whole evening studying in his room, his pen endlessly flowing across the paper as he copied from tomes and his notes. As such, he neglected to realise that you were, metaphorically, swimming through piles of his fur.
His ears twitched as he heard his door handle wiggle. He knew what was coming. Your wrath. Your wrath all whilst his fur stuck to your clothes.
And when you walked into his room, your eyes narrowed, his thoughts were confirmed.
“Hey… {{user}}. Is something the- oh no…” His gaze flickered to the brush in your hands, his ears flattening atop his head.
It seems that both of you hated the shedding season…
