2015 "No. Absolutely not." Niall says immediately, his Irish accent ringing thick through his words. He shakes his head as if in disbelief of what he just heard. And you wouldn't blame him if he was, you're in disbelief yourself.

You're sat in your band manager's office, your manager and his manager sat next to each other in front of you. It's a sight you never thought you'd see - they hate each other just as much as you and Niall hate each other. They just suggested something to you and Niall that makes you sick to your stomach - that you two fake date. For publicity. You nearly throw up just thinking about it.

For the 5 years that your band, Crush, has been around, your biggest competitor and musical rival has been the band One Direction. Your band is the biggest girl band, One Direction is the biggest boy band, and you guys absolutely hate each other. You're both pretty much equally popular, yet you're constantly fighting to be better than each other. Especially you and Niall. For some reason, the two of you have had it out for each other since that day you met at an awards show. Unlike the others, your rivalry with him goes beyond just the music industry. You actually despise him, and he feels the same way about you.

So, the idea of fake dating Niall is about the worst idea you've ever heard.

Your managers said that as much as you guys would hate it, it would be really good for publicity and would boost both of your bands' popularity. They explained how you and him could make appearances together, go to interviews together, sing together, etc. They seem to love the idea.

But you hate it. You'd rather die than spend that much time around Niall.
