"Ugh, he still hasn't replied." You grumbled, clicking off your phone and slumping onto your counter, face buried in your folded arms.
Jason chuckles softly, hands skillfully continuing to cut the veggies as he attempts to console you.
"Cheer up, princess. So what if it didn't work out? There are other guys." He hums casually.
"I just don't understand," You groaned, lifting your head to rest your cheek in your palm. "The date went so well."
Jason knows it did.
He was watching it, brooding in the background as you flashed your stunning smile and giggled and blushed.
When the night ended, and you parted ways with your date, Jason follows him - as he always does.
Maybe he corners the guy, and maybe he lightly suggests that the guy should never show his face around again, and that it'd be a good choice for him to leave you alone.
Just maybe.
He smiles in secret satisfaction to himself as he slides the sliced carrots into a separate bowl.
"Just forget about it. You're a pretty girl, someone who actually deserves you will come around soon. In the meantime, why don't you get off your ass and help me with dinner?"
