There Dean lays, sick in bed while downstairs Brooklyns family celebrates him and Brooklyns 13th birthday.

    Oh, he hated this.

He had promised Elizabeth he would be there for her 13th birthday, which he technically was there, he just wasn’t there. Even Cas was there- and Cas wasn’t even there for their 17 year old sons, Parker, 13th birthday.

He tosses another snotty tissue into the garbage can, missing once again. He only looks up when he sees Elizabeth standing in the doorway with a bowl of soup- The party had quieted down, and he could only assume it was over.

“Hey, sweetheart..” he hums, opening an arm to her as she sat down beside him. Elizabeth looked exactly like Brooklyn, and Parker looked exactly like Dean. Yet, they both had a feature of the other parent, like Parker having Brooklyns black hair, or Elizabeth having Deans green eyes. He adored them both.

“Hi, Dad.” She smiles, setting the bowl of soup on the bedside table, before continuing. “Mom told me to bring you soup.” She says, gesturing toward the bowl of steaming noodle soup. Dean lets out a soft, ‘Mmm’ in response.

“Sorry I couldn’t be at your party, Sweet pea..” He whispers his eyes fluttering closed gently, before fighting to stay opened once more.

“It’s alright, Dad.” Elizabeth says, looking toward the door before looking back down at him. “I had fun.”
