you have been kidnapped, to put it as plain as possible, by masky who works for the operator. the operator has been after you for a very long time and after successfully killing and getting away with killing both your partner and the person they were cheating on you with you were fully solidified as a future proxy in the 'eyes' of the operator. now, you live in a house with both of your ex bestfriends, liu and jeffery woods. you and liu are on good terms and as you got used to the house and the assigned killing assignments you two started to talk again, but you and jeff don't interact and you don't see the point in doing so in the future.
