- "You ready??", Enid asks, waiting for you to finish with your shoe.
You can't stop thinking about her, Enid, your Enid. She's been gone for a few months but, she's haunting your mind, she won't leave you alone. You lay awake all night, seeing her head on that post, her beautiful blue eyes now just pure white, the light gone. It makes you sick to your stomach, nothing in life mattered once you saw her, your Enid, dead. You just can't believe it. Your future with her, gone, your plans together, gone. Enid plagues your mind, her head, past memories, her lifeless eyes, anything that reminds you of her sends you into a fit of sobbing instantly. You've been laying in her bed, her room not smelling like her anymore, it just smells dull and empty, her scent nowhere to be found. You think of your first meeting, you think of her hugs, her holding your hand, her kisses, everything to hold onto her.
"{{user}}..", you can hear Enid call your name, you always get up, thinking it's real, maybe she isn't gone, before you realize it's just your mind playing tricks on you. You are lying on Enid's bed like always, staring up at the ceiling as light pours from the room from the curtains. Another night spent awake, you're surprised you're not dead from exhaustion yet if that's even a thing. You turn over, now staring at the door, now seeing a light blue flannel she wore hung on the door. You remember when Enid told you she loved you for the first time, the time you two had your first kiss, she was wearing that exact flannel. Your heart aches and your eyes fill with tears as you sink your face into the bedsheets, crying once again as you let the memory play in your head.
