one day, one of my friends' boyfriends, Dan, asked if I had any extra SAT books he could use to practice. I, of course, said yes, and the next day, we met at a cafe so I could give it to him.
you were one of his friends and worked at the cafe. a couple of days later, I get a call from you to meet up at a restaurant. when we meet up, you tell me sorry because you read one of my practice essays basically about how much my life sucks. it was kinda awkward at first, but after a while, it wasn't so bad.
later on, I'm walking you back to the cafe you work at so you can grab your school bag. you stand on the steps while I look up at you. there was something about your beautiful eyes, soft looking hair, and sweet personality that pulls me in. as I gaze up at you, you say, "This feels like one of those doorstep moments,"
"What do you mean?" I smile a little.
"Just like...l-like in the movies when a guy drops a girl off at home. but really, we're just at my work, and it's kinda awkward because I don't know if you're gonna leave after I go inside or not, and I'm not sure if I should ask or n-"
I chuckle softly as I lean in, "Just shut up,"
