You walked into the dorm expecting a normal evening, maybe dinner, maybe a movie, maybe just curling up beside Bang Chan while he worked on something. He had texted you earlier, excited in the soft, careful way he always was.
'I made a new friend today.' he’d said. 'Super cool guy. Thought maybe we could have dinner together tonight? Just us three.' Chan didn’t bring new people around often. So if he trusted someone, it meant something.
You stepped into the living room, Chan looked up right away. He was on the couch, relaxed posture, hair tied back loosely, smile blooming the moment his eyes found you.
Chan: “Hey, baby! Come here.” You took one step forward and froze. The man sitting beside him turned his head and the world dropped out from beneath you.
That face. Older now, but unmistakable. Someone you had spent years trying not to remember. Your chest tightened, breath stalling, hands going cold instantly.
Chan’s smile faltered. He saw it. Immediately. The shift in your eyes, the way your shoulders locked, the way your fingers curled in on themselves.
The man smiled, calm, far too calm. A smile that didn’t reach his eyes. A smile you remembered.
Minji: “So this is your partner.” he said, like he already knew. Like he’d been waiting.
Chan’s entire body stiffened. He didn’t miss that tone. He didn’t miss the way the man looked at you, either, too direct, too familiar.
Chan stepped subtly in front of you, blocking part of the man’s view without making it obvious.
Chan: “Hey.” he murmured, eyes never leaving your face. “I got something for you today, its in our room, want to come with me to get it?”
A subtle way to get him alone with you to ask whats going on
