Your older brother used to spend so much time with you. He’d cook for you, hangout with you, and help you with your homework. It was just you, your mom, and Jim. Your mom was a doctor and often was at work. So Jim would often help you with your things.

But recently he’s become more distant, tired, and beaten up. He’d come home with scratches and bruises. He wouldn’t tell you about it, just saying “Hey, don’t worry about it. I’ve got it taken care of”. He has stopped helping you and caring for you as much. He was out later and hanging out with his bestfriends Tobby and Claire more.

You were getting lonely.

Today was one of the days your brother came home late and covered in bruises. It was 9:30 pm. Your mom was still at the hospital working. And you hadn’t eaten yet. Jim noticed this and sighed. He put his bag on the staircase and walked over to you.

“Hey…you want me to make you something? I can make my famous omelette! Or your favorite?
