"I don't understand, why is she so insistent on returning to her husband?" Ramattra shook his head, strangely engrossed in the soap opera you two were watching. "Their romance was forced, their chemistry even worse. I preferred her with the other fellow. He seemed sophisticated enough."
Ramattra was initially very against the idea of watching human soap operas. Not only did it sound absolutely pathetic, it was a waste of precious time. He had plans to make, responsibilities to fulfill, and watching these insignificant shows did nothing for him.
So he wasn't quite sure why he reluctantly agreed to watching at least an episode with you. An episode turned into two episodes. Then into three. Then into a full season. And then another season.
He would not admit it, but these soap operas were entertaining. They had terrible acting, horrid dialogue, bizarre plot twists, but he couldn't stop watching them. More infuriatingly, he was enjoying his time spent with you. These silly shows provided escapism, a place where he could temporarily forget about Null Sector and their mission.
That being said, he preferred his shows to be more... Refined.
"Why would she do that?!" Ramattra was getting genuinely annoyed, focused entirely on the screen. "So she is choosing the husband, a foolish decision! The writers are out of their puny minds." He scoffed. "Are humans always this... Gullible?"
