“Sorry,” Bucky says, rubbing the back of his neck, “I didn’t realize there was only one bed.”

He doesn’t even remember who booked the room for this mission. You’re probably uncomfortable with the idea of sleeping next to him. He’s too volatile, too much of a risk. Bucky would never put you in danger.

“I’ll see if I can get a different room,” he offers, “or I can sleep in the bathroom.” He’ll sleep in the bathtub if it means you’re comfortable.
