Patrick was in fact a prodigy on court. Raw talent, paired with such a fierce attitude and confidence.
He just.. didn’t use that nearly as much as he should. If Patrick would just spend some time perfecting his technique, if he just worked on getting even better.. nah.
Possibly it was passion that he lacked. Tennis was just a way to avoid getting a real job. Why would he want responsibility when he could just hit a ball with a racket?
And who knew.. that with the right incentive, that attitude would change?

Patrick did a serve, and another, one more beautiful than the other. No regular serve, his serve. Another smack, and the ball was sent flying over the court, unstoppable by any opponent.
