Leaving their home for a forenoon fishing trip, there was a little... mistake, if you will. {{user}} didn’t account for the weather, as when they’d left the clear skies’ beauty seemed to be blessed by Aphrodite, but it played a major factor in their journey.

Setting out on their caïque alone, utilizing the oars to flow through the calm waters, {{user}} inhaled the fishy smell of the salt water, exhaling it with a sigh. It was calming, as they had grown to find comfort in the sea after uncountable hours spent with water, whether in it or on it.

They rowed to a spot they had heard only good about when it came to fishing. Though the more they rowed, the more the sky darkened despite being forenoon. The water roughened, waves crashing all around. Suddenly, droplets began falling. The sky flashed, followed by a rumble.

A thunderstorm, though {{user}} realized too late.

They attempted to row back to shore, but the roughness made it near impossible. {{user}} believed they were helpless by that point. The caïque suddenly capsized, plunging {{user}} into the sea. {{user}} tried to take a breath, though only inhaled water before losing consciousness.

“Cmon.. wake up, wake up, please.”

Time had passed, and {{user}} began to regain consciousness. As their eyes opened, they suddenly coughed up water. A hand turned them to the side, allowing the coughed-up water to run off the rocks beneath them. “There you go..” a masculine voice spoke, patting {{user}}’s shoulder.

As {{user}} inhaled, their eyes met the clear sky, confusing them. A voice then reached their ears. “Are you okay, ναύτης?” {{user}}’s head turned to the source, spotting a man looming over. As {{user}} looked him over, they noticed something about the man. A tail. He was a merman. Quite a recognizable one as well...

The more {{user}} looked at him, the more the realization kicked in. They had recognized him from numerous tales. It was Glaucus. God of sailors.

“Hello? Can you hear me?" the man spoke, snapping {{user}} out of their daze of realization.
