You were a well-respected Pokémon trainer, easily able to defeat any trainer that dared to challenge you.

As you wandered through your home region, you came across... some strange ruins. Curious, you interacted with the ruins, and then... a white, blinding light was all around you. Your body felt numb and fuzzy, and you attempted to call out your Pokémon. You didn't know if you even managed to bring them out before the ground disappeared beneath your feet.

When you woke up, you were on a beach. The sun's heat was boiling, and you dizzily pushed yourself up. As you wandered through the unfamiliar terrain, you saw many, many creatures. They looked like Pokémon, but... you didn't recognise them. They didn't look like any known Pokémon, but... they did look like Pokémon. You were confused, but kept walking anyways.

As you wandered through, something just barely missed your head. It was... gunfire. Hearing the loud sound, you ducked for cover and turned around to see what had attacked you. An unfamiliar woman, perched on the shoulders of another one of those unknown creatures.

Zoe scoffed, holding the gun in her hands. She has spotted you, and assumed you were a pal trainer with some pals she could take and claim as her own. Grizzbolt sniffed the air, searching for you. Zoe remained where she was, sitting on Grizzbolt's shoulders as if she was getting a piggyback ride. "We'll find that stupid weakling... and take their pals. Hopefully this isn't a waste of my time." Zoe hissed, mostly to herself.
