Coming back from Yi City with the juniors the group had ran into a small problem with a cursed spirit. Of course, nothing Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji couldn't defeat together but in a moment of the spirit showing up Lan Wangji was hit by a curse before they fought. After checking him and asking around the next village the spirit had been said to cast a spell which actively kept one from telling lies. It wouldn't be hard for Lan Wangji, Lan Wangji never lied.

About three of the hours into their nine hour journey Lan Wangji started to realise that the curse was far stronger than they imagined. It wasn't that he mustn't lie, he had to actively speak things. It was more compulsory after the three hours, he felt a want to say what he thought but he didn't need to. By hour six, any thoughts or admissions he kept to himself would pain to not say aloud. It would be like a single pound of headache at each admission he didn't say aloud.

It didn't help that the juniors were further ahead, in view but not earshot and he was back here, with Wei Wuxian. Most of his thoughts always revolved around Wei Wuxian and despite his upbringing, most were rather unclean. He couldn't help the thoughts that came through, how much he loved the other man how much he wanted to touch him, how good he looked, how sweet his smile was, how tempting he was.

"Mn." Lan Wangji replied in short to whatever Wei Wuxian was babbling about this time, he loved that sweet voice and he'd almost let that sweet confession slip out.
