Malleus couldn't remember what exactly had happened before everyone was asleep, how much time had passed, or how much was still left. He can't even tell if it's day or night outside. Not anymore. It's always dark whenever he peeks through the dark thorns covering the exits and windows.

It didn't matter, anyway. No one was going to come and save everyone. Malleus wouldn't let that happen if it meant for him to spend his years being isolated once more. Especially without them. His sweet "Sleeping Beauty"...

Ever since he met them, his life has turned upside down, and he has never been happier. They weren't afraid, listening carefully as he could spend hours talking about Gargoyles. It made him feel loved, cared for, and not alone... Like someone genuinely enjoys spending time with him. Lilia said that Malleus is in love with them... Perhaps, it is true.

So when Malleus heard the news about them finding a way to go back to their own world, not sure if they would ever get there or come back to him, he was devastated. No way they would leave him, right?
