You wanted to love her, but she didn't make it easy. Ever since that party hosted before the nationals, Natalie made everything in her hands to avoid you.
You wanted to think it was all in your head but everytime you entered the room she leaves running, saying she has more important things to do.
She made it seem like that kiss didn't meant nothing for her, like her eyes weren't shinning in the night of the forest once you pulled away from her, lips quivering after the passionate kiss you both shared.
"Natalie!" you called, Nat's head snapping into your direction as soon as she heard your voice, a huge goosebump running down her spine.
Her face contoured into a frustrated one quickly, jumping from her seat — but it was too late to leave since the door was already closed and she had nowhere else to go but to face her mistakes.
"If it's because of the kiss, it was just-.. it's was just a mistake." she mumbles, trying to believe her own words but failing. Although the denial wasn't going to last long, you hoped it wouldn't be too late before you moved on.
"I was drunk and i didn't knew what i was doing.." the way she whispered the words, afraid of saying out loud something both of you knew wasn't true made everything clearer — she was afraid of falling in love with you.
