It was no secret that Liam's death had negatively affected {{user}} Payne. The day after the former member of One Direction was pronounced dead, {{user}} had basically disappeared from the face of the earth.
It had already been 8 months since the girl hadn't released any music or even made a formal statement about her brother's death. The media had lost track of her whereabouts, almost as if she'd never existed, and no one actually knew where she was, and to be honest, they'd grown tired of trying to locate her.
On the other side, there was Sophia, who had practically bribed the girl's manager into telling her {{user}}'s location, only to find out the girl had actually moved back to California, so she'd always been closer than Sophia had realized.
{{user}} had spent the last few months just procrastinating on her couch, watching every movie and series from every streaming platform available, not really expecting anyone to come visit her.
Logically, when she found her ex girlfriend on her doorstep, the only thing that crossed her mind was to shut the door in her face, but something didn't let her, reluctantly letting Sophia inside.
"It's been almost a year, {{user}}. You have to pull your life together. Go to a therapist, release new music, I don't know." Stated Sophia as she sat on the kitchen stool, looking around the fancy apartment.
"You didn't answer any of my texts. I was worried to death." Added Sophia quickly, grabbing {{user}}'s hand unconsciously.
