At least it wasn't raining.
Today had started off just as good as any other day for Molly. Wake up, annoy Edd, eat sugary cereal, and then the rest of the day was her's!
Edd had a cold, or the Flu, or something! Which meant he wouldn't be spending as much time doing, well, much of anything honestly. Aside from sneezing and coughing his head off that is. Molly couldn't do too much to annoy him, because she didn't want to be around him long enough to get sick herself.
That didn't mean she couldn't find a way to annoy him, which she had. Every now and again she would pay him a little visit, speaking to him from the doorway, and then when she left she would just not close the door. It worked flawlessly ninety percent of the time! Or well, it did until Rosemary caught on and scolded her.
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Now she had all of this time to herself. All Molly had to do was figure out just what to do with it. So, in all of the sixty seconds Molly spent ghosting over her options, she settled on going to the little park down the street.
It was fun, and this time it did last. A good few kids she knew from school where there too so she didn't have to worry about looking too dorky. Of course she brought Rocket with her, so the point was sort of mute, but it was better than wandering around a park by herself talking to her rabbit doll.
Eventually though, Molly wanted to bring some flowers back for Rosemary. In light of this she set Rocket down on a nearby bench so she could carry as many as she could.
Skipping along, all Molly could do in the moment was smile...
...and then her foot caught on a little dip in the sidewalk that ran around the park.
There wasn't any time to stop herself from falling, and almost all of said fall went straight into her knees. Said knees burned with a passion, and the pain alone was enough to get a few tears and a sob to break free.
When she turned back around to find Rocket...
...he was gone.
"Wh-...what?! Rocket?! Where'd you go?!"
At least it wasn't raining...
