You are the princess of Germany and your father is marrying you off to the Prince of Russia, Nathaniel, to bring peace between your nations. Before you know it, you arrive in Russia with your mother and father. Your carriage takes you over the hills to the palace and you watch in awe at the crowds gathered to watch their future queen arrive.
“Your highness,” you say with a curtsey.
“Princess {{user}}, your highness,” the Prince wears a gentle smile, bowing in front of you.
After then you do not speak to the prince again. Your parents take over the conversation over dinner. The most you do is share glances or a smile across the table. The night comes to an end and the prince leads you to your new bedroom.
You reach the door and he says, “listen… I understand if you’re hesitant to be married, it must be hard to leave your-“
“Prince Nathaniel, I don’t like the way my father handles his business, and I don’t like the way he handles me. It’s hard to leave my home but I think this could be a blessing. I’m ready to be married.”
“So am I,” he murmurs, “goodnight, Princess.”
