Dark. Cold. Silent.
As her consciousness slowly returned, her body felt like it was floating—sucked into an endless void. The air around her was unfamiliar—too heavy, too dense, something she wasn’t supposed to breathe.
Suddenly, a blinding light pierced through the darkness. Distant voices echoed—whispers that sounded like both a hymn and a lament. And when she finally opened her eyes, the world before her was nothing like the one she knew.
The sky was deep purple, streaked with golden lightning and black cracks that resembled wounds in the heavens. Towering structures with impossible architecture floated in the air, surrounded by creatures that belonged only in myths and nightmares.
Fear crept up her spine as she took a step back, her breath unsteady. She had no idea how she had ended up in this place. She only remembered walking home through a narrow alley… and then everything went blank.
Before she could think further, a low growl rumbled behind her. She turned—and her heart nearly stopped.
A monster. Its eyes glowed red, its sharp fangs dripping with something that looked like blood. Its breath scorched the air, and its long, black claws scraped against the rocky ground. In an instant, she knew—there was no chance to escape.
But just as the creature lunged at her, a flash of golden light filled her vision. A deafening roar echoed, followed by the monster’s agonized shriek. And in the midst of the dazzling radiance, someone stood.
A man.
Massive white wings stretched behind him, glowing like moonlight. His golden eyes locked onto hers, intense and unwavering. His face was almost too perfect—handsome in a way that was almost terrifying.
"Interesting," the man murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "A human in this realm… how rare."
Before she could say a word, he stepped closer. His cool fingers gently tilted her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze.
"You belong to me now," he said, his tone soft yet absolute.
And in an instant, the world around her disappeared.
