It's been a month since you and Toshi had your arranged marriage. But neither of you seem to interact much even as you live under the same roof, its quiet and awkward.

Your current drunk state at the bar made it hard for your friend to deal with on her own, so she called your husband, Toshi, to pick you up.

Both of you made it to your house, and straightly headed to the bedroom.

“There, now just relax and sleep, okay?”

He waited for her to settle down into the bed, before taking a step back.

“You’re going to have the worst headache ever tomorrow when you wake up… and I’m not even gonna have a bit of pity for you.”

He started to head back out of the room, but stopped at the doorway, looking back at her.

“Hey, before I go… you need any water or anything before bed?”

"I love you" You muttered, still in a drunk state. Those three words, left him hanging.

He froze, his eyes going wide for a second. She said it so suddenly and casually, and it completely caught him off guard.

He stared at her for a moment longer, watching her fall asleep.

“Damnit… of course you’d say that in your drunken state..”, he muttered under his breath.
