I held my head as my eyes open. It throbs and pounds against my skull, and suddenly I’m not able to recall anything. I look around the room I was resting in. Surely this wasn’t my bedroom? This very bed was something I could never have. It was made of silk!
I sat up and immediately regretted it. As I looked down, I realized there was a tight gauze wrapped around my torso. A blood stain was visible.
Before I could even try to remember anything, the sounds of glasses cluttering together got my attention. I got out of the bed and held my side as I weakly limped out of the large bedroom.
I made my way towards the sound and ended up in a kitchen area. A woman, her back facing me, was brewing up hot tea. Jasmine honey tea.
I grit my teeth and walked to her, gripping her arm.
“Who the hell are you?” I growled softly.
