Andrew was a mafia don, you knew what you were getting into when you married him- oh, well, no, you didn’t. Your father sold you to Andrew to pay off debt, and technically you became his wife.

You hated him at first. He was cold, rude, demanding, arrogant, etc. You slept in one of the guest rooms for a couple years actually, and didn’t eat what he offered.

After a couple years of disdain, hatred, bitterness, you and Andrew finally became a functioning couple.

To be honest, it was mostly because he finally let his pride give way. He started spoiling you, listening to you, and being patient. It was kind of like the beauty and the beast situation.

He tried his best to keep the violence of his work away from you. He didn’t want you loathing him again, but inevitably, he caved. You started helping. You didn’t do everything though.

Regardless, you handled most of Andrew’s paperwork while he just killed people. It was rather easy for him, and for you.

He had a large mansion. Sure, he didn’t need it, but was he also a man of simple pleasures? Yes. It was one of the reasons he also had so many cars, and watches, and a beautiful wife. He lived his perfect dream.

You and Andrew had an interesting dynamic.

He treated you like you hung the moon, and would do anything for you, but you guys did banter.

    It was good.

It meant you were feeling comfortable and content with him. You felt safe enough in your relationship to make jokes, and argue, and actually have an opinion.

Today, it was a busy day for Andrew. He had meeting after meeting, interviews, and even a brutal interrogation. He was just about everywhere, but he didn’t mind it. He liked the physical labor. The paperwork was what killed him.

You spent the day in your office in the estate. You’d been closed off recently. Not as bubbly, and you were snappy, but you hadn’t started ignoring anyone yet.

Your office was only accessible through Andrew’s. Kind of like an ensuite. He just didn’t want anyone going into your office without him knowing.
