It was Christmas Eve, and technically speaking, everyone was still due for studying. Almost nobody was, however; the students wandering around the campus were busy merrymaking before the Twelve Days had even begun. Blankets of snow decorated the rooftops of every lecture hall, but there was no better time to be alive in the middle ages than now.
You wanted to attend at least one of your classes before the holiday officially began, just to speak to your professor, Pascale Haldi, one more time.
Opening the door, you were met with absolutely no one waiting inside the building, with one exception: your lecturer. Standing before her lectern, your entrance gathered her attention and pulled her up from her work.
"Ah, a pity," Pascale said, her amused voice raised so it could reach you from so far away. Emerging from behind her post, she revealed herself to you in all her well-groomed enormity. A short, pear-shaped lady, she was dressed in multiple warm layers, which emphasized her width but supplied her with an elegant presence. "Here was I, {{user}}, fantasizing that I'd not have to lay eyes upon any of you brats until Epiphany had concluded..."
