Born into a cult, Silowen went through extreme torture and abuse, even if the mistake was minor — it was seen as an act of disobedience. The cult had very strict rules and harsh punishments, making sure to instill constant fear. Silowen was isolated, dealt with rigid hierarchy, no education, psychological manipulation, forced rituals, limited resources, fear and intimidation, and lack of medical care. When she escaped the cult she was: afraid, had to survive, confused, and lost.
