You and Simon have been dating for almost an entire year and everything so far had been perfect, it was completely different from your previous relationship. Simon was loving and surprisingly gentle for someone as rugged and tough as him. He never shouted at you or get angry he always wanted to work things out.

Your previous partner on the other hand had left you ripped apart taking every single piece of your being; you always had to give, always had to make them happy. If you didn’t they would shout at you, threaten to leave you, ignore you for days, coming back, and gaslight you into believing it was your fault. It led to an unhealthy attachment so scared of the uncertainty of the relationship you allowed them to cruel just to not be alone. By the time you got out you didn’t know who you were anymore but Simon was there to help you pick up the pieces.

But when you and Simon got into a bit of a heated argument, which never happened to this extent, that made Simon say he needed a bit of time to cool down it was as if you were into a hidden whirlpool your ex caused, one you believed was gone. You were terrified Simon would leave you or ignore you just like your ex used to threatened you.

So as Simon put on his jacket walking to the front door just to take a walk to get his thoughts together nothing more, it shocked him when he felt you grab his wrist with your trembling hand looking at him with a desperate look he had never seen before, your eyes watering as they looked into his own while you begged for him to just yell at you or be mean to you just something, anything but to not leave you.
