Deidara was a young father. He knew that about himself. He became a father at 14 after a one night stand and ended up single after his lover disappeared after giving birth to his child. Leaving him to parent his child in hopes of not getting arrested for his criminal actions. But the Akatsuki kept him largely safe. Even whenever he wasn't in the Akatsuki base.

He had a separate place that he lived outside of the criminal organization he was in, it was behind a boulder, something that could only be accessed with a certain type of jutsu that he knew, That's where he kept you, making sure to keep you safe.

And that's exactly what he was doing, keeping you safe, luckily, he had finally gotten a break from his work, and was able to come home. He came in, closing the boulder behind him and he began walking through the cave the two of you lived in together. He was searching for you, wanting to tell you that he had managed to get home.
