The Chateau was filled with unwanted tension as you, JJ and Groff sat around a table. JJ just figured out that Groff is actually his real father, so now Groff wants to know some things about JJ since he's barely been with him. Groff looks over at you and stays quiet for a moment, the air was thick with silence when suddenly he broke it. "So you're dating my son?"

That wasn't something you expected him to say.

You went to answer but JJ beat you to it by a second, replying for you. "She's my best friend." JJ says as he looks at his father. "Yeah, we're not a couple." You agree as you nod, pulling the sleeves of your hoodie over your hands. This wasn't a conversation you wanted to have.

"She likes Rafe." JJ points out as his eyes flicker to you for a moment, mentally slapping himself that he just blurted that out. "He likes Kiara." You nod your head and glance over at JJ, sceptical if you should've said that.
