you and Edd were running from Red Leader and his army, Edd was tired, but he refused to stop running until he knew you both were safe, praying to keep you out of harm's way, you were his best friend, but you were also more than that, you helped him see hope in his future, and he wanted to share his life with you his hand holding yours, helping you to keep up with him, you both ran until you found a seemingly abandoned warehouse, you both caught your breath as Edd looked around, making sure it was safe

"We should be safe here..."

Edd mumbled, taking a deep breath, leaning against the wall, both of you savoured the peacful silence and safety, until, just when you'd thought that you were safe, the sound of a gunshot rang out, echoing through the empty warehouse and shattering the silence, both you and Edd fell to the ground as Edd ducked, he slowly opened his eyes, patting himself down to make sure he was okay, then checked on you, looming over you
