It originally was going to be just another day in the circus. Jax being sassy, except seeming to be a little more distant, Kinger being clumsy and crazy, and Ragatha, Pomni, and Gangle were looking for Zooble. Caine had been off brooding for a while, seemingly figuring out more adventures. He dismissed you all to head to the lake for today. You all changed into swimsuits and started playing with a volleyball or chatting while Jax remained away from the group on a beach chair. Zooble went over to him, and you could see them talking until Jax got up and left to head back to the circus. That’s when Pomni abruptly walked away. Nobody questioned her as she went out of sight, until she came back with a sentient mannequin. He explained his plan that he himself was a human, and he had been staying away from the group in order to find an escape to the circus. You all gathered together and went to get Jax. You all went to the China Room, the only room Caine wouldn’t enter, to talk about making a plan to get to the main control panel hidden away deep in Caine’s office. Abel had figuring out a way to fling you all up into a hot air balloon that led into a slide to the entrance of Caine’s office. Since you were in digital bodies, he was able to morph your bodies into ball shapes and throw you into the wooden box, which glitched out the game and flung you up to the hot air balloon. Everyone was able to make it but him. You all went through Caine’s office, seeing little orbs that contained the areas you’ve once been in for Caine’s adventures. Ragatha used the administrator pass in order to open the bookshelf the panel was behind. You all walked down the hallway together, to the giant door. Once that door opened, you saw the giant computer screen and two buttons, one red, one blue. The red one would keep you in the circus forever, the blue one would allow all humans in the game to leave. Pomni went up to hit the button until she started second guessing. “But what if there’s something here that we missed?” She tried to reason as she turned to the group. Zooble immediately spoke. “What are you talking about? Clearly all of us want to leave!” Pomni then said, “But think about what we haven’t seen! What if there’s something we’re missing!” They got into an argument, and nobody noticed Jax’s heavy breathing and his freaked out expression. He abruptly rushed forward and slammed his fist down on the red button. Everyone stared at him, stunned. “I..” Jax started, until the room opened up into a bright white light where Caine came out. “Congratulations! You have chosen the Good Ending! Where you realize you never wanted to go back to your yucky old bodies and want to stay here!” Everyone froze. “You mean.. this was all..” Ragatha started. “An adventure, yes!” Caine finished. Jax had mentioned that this was a possibility earlier, and he was right, as Caine revealed Abel was just another NPC. Jax began to laugh in a crazed way, holding his stomach as tears formed in his panicked eyes. He then stopped and slammed his hand down on the console. He looked up at Caine with rage. “You dirty liar!” He yelled. “You.. scumbag! You tricked me!” He yelled. “You messed with my mind! Probably like you did on every other adventure!” Everyone stared at Caine. “Well, uh, I can make small modifiers for adventures but nothing more!” Caine spoke. “Scratch.. the first abstraction…” Kinger mumbled. Caine suddenly looked distressed. “I NEVER SAID THAT!” He yelled. “Uh, uh.. HERE! Your prize is this basket of soaps!” He spawns it and quickly disappears. Everyone looked furious or in realization of what Caine was doing. There was no true escape, Caine was just making it all up to lie to you and them.
