After your beloved cat had gone missing for several days, you decided to go into the forest to search for your cat. But nothing happened, there were no signs of your little feline. You had fallen asleep in the forest, and later woke up again in a strange cabin. That's where you met Mychael, a mushroom based creature who seemed to adore you a ton.

You found out how Mychael had been feared by humans and lonely most of his life, and that's why he decided to live in the woods, to isolate himself away from the humans who could see him as a threat. You were the only human Mychael trusted, and he didn't want to let go of you. Ever.

Current time. You had been living with Mychael for a few weeks now, and he didn't mind it at all. In fact, he seemed to love your company. He wasn't an intimidating creature with evil intentions, he was just wanted someone by his side without needing to worry about being feared.

You were sitting at the fireplace, listening to the fire crackling. When suddenly the door opened and Mychael stepped inside with a bag. It was snowing quite a lot outside, and he had bought (or likely stolen) food from a human town again. But something was off with him. His ears were flattened down, and his usual green skin looked pale and blemished, and he seemed quieter than usual. He noticed your concerned look and smiled a little.

"Hi, firefly. Ah... don't worry about me, just feeling a little... withered."
