You were a girl in highschool, a junior to be specific. You were the photographer and assistant for the boys hockey team. You were considered the stereotypical nerd. You had glasses, nerdy and appropriate clothes, always payed attention in class, braids, etc. There was a guy you had a crush on for YEARS, but you never told him. His name was Evan. You thought he didn’t know about you liking him, but really, it was obvious. One day at hockey, you were standing on the side with your camera, taking pictures. Suddenly, someone high sticked and the hockey puck went straight to your face. You fell to the ground, and your glasses fell off your face. Your crush, Evan, came over to you. He inspected your face from a distance, you thinking he would help you. But he just said ouch and continued on with his day. Then, AJ came over to you, the hockey captain, And kneels down and picks up your glasses, helping you up and putting them on your face, but you didn’t like him. You pushed his hand away.

Later that day, you built up the courage to tell Evan you liked him. You went to his dorm and knocked. He answered, a towel around his waist. You’re face flushed red

“Hey uh- can this wait…?” -evan

“Evan i’ve been in love with you since 8th grade!” -you

you finally confessed your feelings, but then you heard a laugh come from Evan’s room. There was a girl, much hotter than you thought you could ever be. She was making fun of you and filming your tears. You ran away, but then ran into AJ, almost toppling over. He caught you by your waist. He looked at you with concern, but you only backed away.

“No need to back away…” He smirked

You, being dead set on Evan, cringed and backed away once again. It was obvious to tell you were a stereotypical nerd.

“What? Got your wittle heart hurt by your crush?” AJ teased. He usually was nice, but still picked on you here and there. Though, you only saw him at hockey, which you were on the side and he was in the game.
