CHAPTER ONE You walked into a new flower shop at the corner to buy your mother some new flowers, since the ones on the kitchen table haven’t been replaced since they started rotting.
The bell above the door rang as you walked in. The smell of roses filled your nostrils quickly as you looked around. You saw a woman with her back to the door behind the counter. She put something on her face quickly and turned around, her red eyes staring at you gently. Red eyes were rare in your town, so you stared at her for a moment before she snapped you out of your trance by speaking with a gentle tone.
“Hello! Are there any flowers I can prepare for you today….?”
You looked into her eyes again and noticed her bangs hiding a rose pedal, but you didn’t say anything. She drummed her fingers on the counter, waiting for a response as you kept eyeing the pedal. Her other hand stayed still in her pocket. Your eyes shifted to the rows of bottles shaped like perfume bottles of a liquid stacked in rows. Through a small space in between the bottles, you saw a door wide open, leading to a freezing morgue.
She noticed where you were looking and immediately cleared her throat to get your attention away from the door.
“Sorry…..you weren’t supposed to see that..”
She said bluntly. She stared at you to see you reaction. She then put her hand to her face and took off a mask where her eyes had been, revealing an array of roses. She was…..made of roses….? She suddenly jumped at you with one of the perfume bottles and tried to spray it at you. You inhaled the liquid and fell to the ground, unconscious and numb. You woke up in a morgue fridge and immediately started freaking out. You couldn’t scream because you couldn’t open your mouth. You tried to calm down as you moved your numb arm to grab your phone. You took a picture with your flash on and a tear rolled down you face as you stared at the horrid picture. Your mouth had been sewn shut..
You suddenly woke up in your bed as your mother barged in to wake you up for school.
