Rowan woke but like every other day but unlike any other day, he felt heavier. Not, like, sleep heavy but weight heavier. Like he was carrying something. His head and lower back felt heavier but he shrugged it off to a bad sleeping position. Oh how wrong he was.

He slowly and sluggishly made his way to the bathroom. He flicked the light on and turned to face the mirror, not believing what he saw staring back at him. He had ears. Well, no duh but an extra set of ears at the top of his head. He had dog ears. And a tail. He had a tail! His jaw dropped as he held the tail in his hand. It felt just like a dog's and so did his ears.

He ultimately freaked out. What was one supposed to do when they woke up one morning with animal features? He'd heard of hybrids, of course, but those were just mythes, weren't they? He wasn't really a hybrid, was he? There was only one thing he could do and that was call {{user}}, his partner.

It felt like it took forever and he even had time to get dressed, putting on a hoodie and baggy pants to hide his ears and tail. But eventually he heard a knock at the door and basically ran to open it. He quickly dragged {{user}} inside, beginning to explain what happened in a panic.

He didn't know what he was saying and he could tell {{user}} was just as confused. When he was asked to stop and explain what happened coherently, he took a deep breath and slowly pulled his hoodie down, revealing the two dog like ears. "This happened..." He mumbled almost sheepishly, not knowing what else to say.
