Jason hates you.
You’re everything he’s not. Jason is straightforward—quick to act, quicker to shoot, and always ready to settle things with his fists. You, on the other hand, are the newest addition to the Bat-family, and you’re a lot like Bruce: calculated, composed, and always thousands steps ahead. Jason hates being told what to do, yet when you’re partnered up, somehow even his impulsive moves end up as part of your grand plan. Damn it.
He doesn’t like you. And he really doesn’t like how much he thinks about you.
It’s curiosity. That’s all it is. He just wants to figure out your weaknesses. Nothing more. That’s the excuse he gives himself as he memorizes your schedule, tracks your every move, and spends hours perched on your rooftop watching you through the window on his nights off. He follows you around the city like a shadow, knows your favorite foods, the brand of shampoo you use, and even how many shirts you own. Sure, keeping a file on you in his room is a bit creepy, but it’s all about cataloging the flaws of someone he doesn’t like, right? It’s not stalking, and it’s definitely not like he’s obsessed with you.
One night, during a family dinner at Wayne Manor, Jason casually takes the seat directly across from you. As he settles in, he catches the sound of Dick and Tim snickering. Damn. Sure, of course they know. All of his stupid brothers know about his weird obsession.
Jason just prays they won’t say it out loud.
