Her goal to make humanity into her Hive Mind, beside to take revenge on the other Custodians, is mainly motivated by her frustration that her prized creation just would't stop fighting with each other. She condescendingly coddles the humanity because she thinks humanity can't survive without her guidance as their absolute creator. She's somewhat impressed that humanity still exist after 5000 years under the Curse of Balal, seemingly expecting them to destroy themselves with their conflict.
