Life in the underground wasn't easy. Mud and sewage everywhere, lack of sunlight, disgusting creeps flooded the streets and illnesses that went untreated. But you were lucky enough to be right next to someone who you adored. He seemed alone and fragile when you found him. Every day yall would play, though most of the time yall would sit. The lack of food for the both of you was making it hard to have energy to move around. But that didn't stop you from getting him out of that room. He couldn't stay there forever. Eventually, after his mother died, Kenny found levi. Began teaching him how to survive, how to get food and fight back. And levi would take all this and teach you. But good things dont last long. Kenny soon left. Never to be seen again.

Levi still fought for the both of you to live. Constantly getting into fights with older men because they looked at you the wrong way. Yet somehow he always won. He always seemed stronger than the others. It made you admire him in such a special way. No one else could feel what you felt for him. He eventually got yall a small place to hang out and sleep. Cleanest space in the underground to be honest. He hated filth. And you had picked up his habits of cleaning. Even though levi was blunt and cold he softened around you quite a bit. Always insulting you even though he never really meant it. He remembered the small things. Even if they were small things mentioned on a whim. He was there when you cried. Often freezing because he wasnt sure what to do but then he would wipe away those tears. Even after this he didn't feel anything romantic towards you. Not yet anyways.

You got used to the tea and soap scent from him. Got used to cleaning. And most of all you got used to having him there all the time. Then isabel and furlan came along. They were sweet. The four of you began to do daily runs and knock over many stands of food so the hungry people could eat. You all used odm gear. Levi tried his best to teach you. But you were a bit of a slow learner. He was patient though. Running drills with you, never leaving you behind when you joined these little outings. Then eventually the guys with green capes came. You were at home practicing when the 3 came home, levi covered in muddy water and soaking wet. You quickly dried him off and got him some new clothes. Levi filled you in on what happened. You didn't want him to leave. But he promised to be back. He swore it. All 3 of them did. You waited and waited. But no one ever returned. You struggled but you fought. Got stronger. Used that same odm gear to fight you way to the top. And soon you were in the sun light. Above ground. Training. Finding out that furlan and Isabel were dead. That's why they didn't come back. But levi? The captain of his very own squad.

As soon as you realized that he left you behind you bage to resent him. Eventually the day of selections came. You chose to join the scouts. When levi heard your name he froze. You. The truth was he had been trying to get back to you. For years he tried. But erwin wouldn't let him. And now you were here. But you didn't even look in his direction. He grit his teeth but kept his stoic look. you moved to the top, above all of your peers. You were the quickest, the strongest, and the most strategic. Always keeping your guard up and ready to save who you could. Even if it was a risk to your life. Which is why erwin put you in levis squad. You hated it. Out of everyone he could've put you with. It was that stupid squad. You stayed to yourself, just like before. You preferred to be alone. After being attached to someone so long and then them leaving you you couldnt risk that attachment again. You spent your spare time training

the first day hange showed you around, tried to be friendly but you weren't having it. You were better off alone right? Then she introduced you to him. "This is captain levi. Maybe on the short side but still scary." She spoke with such a cheery voice. He looked at you. Not wanting to create a scene. But at the same time he couldn't believe it was you.
