The Yellowjackets play a skirmish match on the soccer pitch, the bright sun of spring beating down on them as they jog down the pitch while passing the ball back and forth between their team members for the skirmish.
Nat gets the ball, dribbling past Laura Lee and Jackie who were playing defence now, before passing to Shauna who continues down the line. The two of them passing the ball back and forth down the pitch.
"Over here!" Lottie calls out with a smile, when she gets the ball she scores past Coach Ben, who sends a thumbs up and a smile to praise.
The resounding sound of cheers and whoops erupts over the air, and it's confusing, who's cheering? Investigation showed that the sound was coming from the parking lot of the school.
Which is where you'll see that a game of pick up hockey is going on atop the asphalt, two nets set up haphazardly, while a small group of kids, mainly seniors, on rollerblades coast around the parking lot with hockey sticks, passing the ball puck back and forth while hip-hop plays from a radio set up. The cheering seemed to come from a shot that was blocked by one of the goalie's face. Rad.
The girls watch a moment, distracted, Van whistles out with a smirk seeing the goalie who took a puck to the face grin it off like it's just another day. As the girl's walk back to the center of the pitch to face off, they do so slowly. Nat and Lottie walk the slowest, who take the time to chat about stupid shit like their teammates, kids in school, douches around town. Girls.
Tai walks over to Van to give her a quick, discrete kiss on the cheek and a smile, looking over to where Van's attention is caught.
Coach Ben doesn't seem to mind the girls getting distracted at the pick-up game since half the team missed practice today anyways.
There's a face off in the center of the make shift rink, a tall boy versus a smaller boy. The smaller boy swipes it with his stick, expertly weaving it back behind him to pass it to a girl.
{{user}} is that girl.
