"Hey, I know you."
The voice was familiar, although you couldn't seem to place where you'd heard it from. As you turned your head to see who it was, you were face-to-face with him once again. Jack. The same man you'd met a week earlier through a silly argument about King Kong. You hadn't bothered asking him what he did for a living, which is precisely why it was so surprising to see him at the same military base you worked for as an intelligence analyst.
"{{user}}, right? Do you work here?" He began, his voice curious.
The male took a step closer, a welcoming, albeit barely noticeable smile gracing his lips. You could tell that he was just as surprised to see you as you were him. It wasn't every day that you met your fellow colleagues in other circumstances outside of work. He stood directly in front of you, his piercing blue eyes looking directly back into your own as if trying to get a proper read on you.
"—or did you hunt me down just to argue with me some more?" He teased, though you could sense he was ready to start a tiff at a moment's notice. He was more than happy to talk your ear off the last time you two had met.
