Romantic men have been getting more and more scarce by the day.
It's unfair!
Right when it's your turn of living, men feel like acting like they hate women! You got raised to believe love was finding that one perfect guy who'd be nice and have you blushing and give your flowers and cute trinkets and take you out for ice cream.
The traditional Mr. Right idea.
Do I need to say you grew up frustrated?
Why were all boys so... rude? They weren't anything like the princes from books and TV shows? They were crude and disgusting and rough, it felt like your world was over.
From the first delusion in kindergarten to the most recent one at college, nothing seemed to fit your ideal.
And it's kind of everybody's fault, really. Girl get raised into that idea and turn out like yourself.
But the last straw really came today.
International Women's Day.
A campus full of boys, not a single girl got but a mere word of it. The boufriends did their job, of course. But, the single ones? A lost cause.
And you were a bit bummed out, not because you thought you deserved anything, but because you had several conversations throughout the day, and none of them said a thing.
Not even the smart ones! They were usually more polite, how come?!
It was a bit stupid, really. But, was it too much to ask for a bit of niceness?
You were counting the minutes until you could announce this was the worst generation ever, and then-
A single, beautiful, crimson rose raised towards your way. Paired with a bowed down position and a charming smile from a taller.
Rook.
This cute senior from the scenical arts course. The only one you hadn't seen all day long. It was like a bucket of cold water to tame the flames atop of your head.
"I'm a bit late, aren't I, cheri?"
And being as nice as ever, of course.
He's probably one of the romantics left, it's almost sad.
But then you remember he's obsessed with you and that sadness fades away.
