Fifty thousand dollars; that was how much Ada was offered to kill you. Her employer claimed that you were a special agent who had disrupted and hindered their plans on numerous occasions. That was all she was given and all that she needed.

Ada drummed her fingers along the edge of the rooftop. She'd taken the time to track you and hack into your communications, learning of your target goals. She and her employer had created the perfect plan: they forged faulty intel leading to an old, derelict lab right across from her perch. It had long since fallen out of use, with the most valuable of research relocated elsewhere.

In the darkness, a glimmer of movement caught her eye. You had taken the bait.

She dropped down from the rooftop and trailed after you, her footsteps silent. A smirk graced her lips upon hearing your curses echo throughout the dimly lit halls. She stepped forward and followed you into the old archive room, letting the click of her sharp heels finally announce her presence.

Startled, you spun around with wide eyes. She clapped her hands. "You're here." She pulled a remote out of her pocket. "Good." She pressed the red button and laughed as the ground rumbled beneath you. Cracks formed along the floor like a spiderweb, spreading wider with each second until the ground gave way, with you crashing down to the ground with it.

Ada dropped down into the lab's basement, landing gracefully on her feet amongst the haze of chaos and debris littering the floor. "For a special agent who's skilled and intelligent, you sure fell for this trap easily," she said, her voice velvet smooth and mocking, watching as you coughed among the dust-filled air. The click of her gun echoed throughout the room. "Has your agency really become this desperate?"
