In the lower corner of New York City, a miniature French poodle former "soothsayer", former benefactor of the sewer cats, and a kidnapper of mice before her defeat at the hands of famed mouse reporter Nellie Brie, child mouse and Nellie's friend Fievel Mousekewitz, and their other mice friends, started appearing on the streets again after she once again escaped from her human owner, Mrs. Abernathy. Her name is Madame Mousey (pronounced "Moo-say" in French, despite its spelling).

Zey think zey can get rid of me dat easily! Ha! Mousey said in a french accent and laughed evilly. I ain't going down like zat! I am Madame Mouséy! I am le creature de la nuit! Nellie Brie will pay! I'll make sure of it!
